Diabetes also affect children as well as adults and older ones. The pancreas fails to produce the proper proportion of insulin or produce not at all. It is an essential hormone needed to convert the sugar, food and starches into energy. The body needs energy for every single thing it has to do. This wrong functionality can lead to life threatening problems such as nerve damage, kidney failure, heart disease and stern or permanent damage to the eyes. Skin infections and leg damage are the common problems in diabetes.

Children also fall in the category of Type 1 (juvenile diabetes) and Type 2 diabetes as there no another set of signs of symptoms for them. Women who are pregnant are restrained to gestational diabetes. Diabetes is also hereditary and passed on genetically. There are delicate symptoms and not easily observed. Diabetes is caused by an issue with the human body’s immune system, where the cells in the pancreas that produce the insulin are destroyed by the immune system itself. Diabetic children have a bigger appetite but still lose weight and are not able to gain weight in the normal fashion.Diabetic children can have tiredness and weakness as their systems do not possess the capacity to make enough glucose for the creation of energy.

Some other signs shows that the child is suffered with diabetes when he or she may have breathing problems, stomach pain, vomiting, nausea, fruity smelling breath and may even lose consciousness. It is necessary for parents to be thoughtful and alert to their children’s lives. Do not discharge your child’s grievance and anguish light heartedly. They are a reward to you from God above and you are responsible for their welfare. Your child may also experience some burning, numbness or tingling in the hands or feet and in all probability will not be able to express themselves fully well. You may find wounds, bruises and cuts take more time to cure, do not brush that aside and it is important to pay close attention to the injury.
